Welcome to Maple and Oak Photography!  My name is Kate and I’m the photographer behind the name!  I’m a former singer/actress and current mommy and I’ve wanted to be a photographer for as long as I can remember.

When I had my daughter in 2013, my love of photography kicked in to overdrive.  (my kids are very comfortable yelling “take my picture!” and “CHEESE!” now!)

I couldn’t wait anymore and this year I decided to go for it!  I’ve been so humbled by the response that I’ve received and I’ve loved every second of every shoot I’ve done.

My style is very journalistic and the reason I think it works well for kids in particular is that there’s no sit still, act proper moments in my shoots.  We’re all just having fun, I just happen to have a camera to my eye!  I love finding those moments where you’re just there with the people you love, having a great time or you’re just relishing in these moments with these amazing tiny humans.
